it's important to keep in mind that sometimes the companies that do receivables factoring will not buy your accounts, or will charge you more overhead for them, if your contract terms with your debtors are over 30 days. sometimes this isn't the case; but more often than not it is.
The factoring company looks after the tedious administrative job of managing your invoices and chasing receivables. That can be a lifesaver for smaller owner-operator truckers who spend a lot of time on the road and struggle with keeping up with unpaid invoices.
